OTTAWA - April 26, 2004 - Halogen Software, a leading provider of web-based employee performance appraisal and 360-degree feedback software today announced, it has been selected by Lee Enterprises as its new web-based employee performance appraisal software provider. Lee chose Halogen after an extensive review of numerous vendors.

"With Halogen eAppraisal, we are able to view the status of the appraisal process in one central location, so that we can track if we are falling behind," said Julie Stickney, Director for Human Resources for Lee Enterprises. "The status center offered by Halogen is extremely important to us given that we have over 5000 employees. Halogen eAppraisal also offers us added flexibility, and the ability to align employees goals with their performance."

"Lee Enterprises is a leading publisher for newspapers in the mid sized markets and we are pleased to have them as one of our customers," said Paul Loucks, president for Halogen Software. "With large organizations such as Lee Enterprises, it becomes difficult to administer employee performance appraisals. Our solution enables human resource professionals to know if individuals are falling behind at any step in the appraisal process and send out automated email notifications to help move them forward."

Halogen eAppraisal is a web-based employee appraisal software solution that automates the time-consuming employee appraisal process. It offers fully customizable online employee performance appraisals with a centralized repository for appraisal creation, progress monitoring and appraisal storage. Halogen eAppraisal also improves performance appraisal quality, accuracy, and privacy with intuitive interfaces, authoring aids and centralized storage. The comprehensive workflow makes it easy for human resource professionals to take control of their employee performance review process by approving appraisal forms, monitoring the status and sending automatic email notifications to managers.
